CNA Exam Prep Schedule:

Daytime CNA Exam Prep Classes are only 3 days. Classes are held Tuesday – Thursday from 9:00 AM – 2:30 PM.

Evening CNA Exam Prep Classes are only 4 nights. Classes are held Monday – Thursday from 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

 Weekend CNA Exam Prep Classes are only 2 days. Classes are held Saturday – Sunday from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.

 

 

The BLS Provider Course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED.

In the Instructor-led course, students participate in simulated clinical scenarios and learning stations. Students work with an AHA BLS Instructor to complete BLS skills practice and skills testing. Students also complete a written exam.

  • Describe all the steps of the Chain of Survival
  • Apply the BLS concepts of the Chain of Survival
  • Recognize the signs of someone needing CPR

Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants.

This course teaches skills with the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which allows instructors to observe the students, provide feedback, and guide the students’ learning of skills.

After successfully completing this course, students should be able to:

  • List the priorities, roles, and responsibilities of first aid rescuers
  • Describe the key steps in first aid
  • Remove protective gloves
  • Find the problem
  • Describe the assessment and first aid actions for the following life-threatening conditions: heart attack, difficulty breathing, choking, severe bleeding, shock, and stroke
  • Describe when and how to help a choking adult or child
  • Demonstrate how to help a choking infant
  • Use an epinephrine pen
  • Control bleeding and bandaging
  • Recognize elements of common injuries
  • Recognize elements of common illnesses
  • Describe how to find information on preventing illness and injury
  • Recognize the legal questions that apply to first aid rescuers
  • Describe how high-quality CPR improves survival
  • Explain the concepts of the Chain of Survival

Intended Audience: The American Heart Association's (AHA) Heartsaver courses are intended for people with little to no medical training who need CPR and/or first aid training and a course completion card for job, regulatory, or other requirements. These courses can also be taken by anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

HeartCode BLS is the online portion of BLS blended learning. It uses a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, eSimulations, animations, self-directed learning, and interactive activities to teach students BLS knowledge and skills. After completing the online portion, students must attend a structured Instructor-led hands-on session that focuses on meaningful skills practice, debriefing, team scenarios, discussions of local protocols, and skills testing.

After successfully completing the BLS Course, students should be able to:

Course Length

The online portion of HeartCode BLS can be completed in approximately 1 to 2 hours. The hands-on session can be completed within 2 hours. However, students can log in and out as many times as they choose. However, the written exam must be taken in one sitting.

 

Course Materials

Students may access all material included in the online portion of HeartCode BLS program for 24 months following initial activation of their course.

 

Course Completion Card or Certificate

Upon successful completion of the online portion, including the course exam, students receive a certificate of completion, which they must present for entry into an Instructor-led hands-on session. Upon successful completion of the skills session, students will receive their AHA Course Completion eCard to their email. Course completion cards are valid for two years.

  • Live Remote Proctoring: The exam will be monitored in real-time by a live remote proctor to maintain the integrity and security of the testing process.
  • Registration Deadline: You must register 15 days in advance of the scheduled exam date. The registration window will close 14 days before the scheduled exam date.

This option is designed for individuals who wish to take the Phlebotomy National Exam in person at our location. Please note the following important details:

  • Advance Registration Required: You must register 15 days before the scheduled exam date.
  • Registration Deadline: The registration window will close 14 days before the scheduled exam date.
  • Score Availability: Paper-based scores will be uploaded into candidate's portal within 21 days of receipt at testing company's headquarters.
  • Notification: An email will be generated to inform candidates when their exam scores are available.
